Babies Room

Guidelines ratio of 1:3

Our beautiful babies room is a bright and airy room looking onto the spacious garden.   Babies are cared for in a carefully designed to be a stimulating home from home environment with fun and exciting toys and activities.  Babies are taken out to explore the environment or play in their own designated garden.

All the furniture in our baby room is made from natural materials and is the perfect height to help children be independent in selecting their own toys and activities.

Babies engage in creative play using malleable materials, sand and water, texture experimentation, sensory development equipment and mark making using a range of different materials.  Creative play is an important part of a child development and is therefore incorporated into their routine on a daily basis.

Staff plan fun and exciting activities based on each child’s interests and needs.

Mice Room

Mice Room

Guideline ratio 1:4

Our toddler room is divided into two rooms one for arts and craft and messy play and the other area for role play.  There is a cosy reading area for quiet time and song time.  Staff plan fun and exciting activities for the children depending on their interests and needs.  The children are taken outside to play in our large garden and their learning is continued here.

As your child reaches the 2 year old age group, alongside their fun and creative activities we also encourage them to expand their independence and develop new skills, such as feeding and dressing themselves and starting toilet training.

Similar to the younger age group we make a wide variety of play and activity options available to your child which include, role play, arts and craft, puzzles, reading, small play and singing and dancing.  We also encourage sign language in all our rooms and practice this whilst we do our singing.

Creative play is an important part of a child development  and is therefore incorporated into their routine on a daily basis.

Meal times

Your 2 year old is at a stage of their development where they want to do things by themselves, we encourage this by self-serving the lunches and feeding themselves as much as possible.  We always offer whatever help they need to allow them to learn at their own pace.

Our pre-school room is a fun learning environment.  Children love exploring the different areas of the room and experimenting with the equipment and learning on a one to on basis, along with group activities.  We encourage a free flow to the garden, and the children visit the garden on a regular basis continuing their learning outside.

The Pre-school nursery classroom are a home away from home: a happy place full of friends where your child can be themselves.  It is a place full of interesting things to do, but also a place where your child can take time out and just be quiet if they want to.

The layout of the classroom encourages exploration, communication and the development of relationships on all levels.  Everything reflects a dedication to quality and to your child’s ability to do things for themselves.
